How often does one get to have two successful careers and love what they do? Upon graduating from The College of St Catherine in St. Paul, I had the privilege of teaching elementary students. I received much gratification from being apart of their success and seeing their new found enthusiasm, as well as developing their hunger for learning. It was apparent to me I wanted to do more so decided go back to earn a Masters of Education Degree from the University of Minnesota. I was then able to work with many students of different cultures and abilities. I loved teaching and loved the lake, as did my family. We decided to make the move.
I became very familiar with the Brainerd Lakes Area as my family enjoyed coming to “the lake” as seasonal residents for a long time before moving to Crosslake. We permanently moved to Crosslake when I retired from teaching and became a full time realtor in 1989. I have recieved the GRI and ABR designations. I have also received awards for Top Producer, Governor’s Quality of Service Award, recognized by Mpls/St. Paul Magazine in conjunction with the Minneapolis Business Monthly as a Super Real Estate Agent for 2 years and the Broker Agent Magazine featured realtor as the Broker/Agent of the Month. I have been a member of the RE/MAX 100% Club since joining the RE/MAX family in 2003.
Giving back and being involved in my community and church is very important to me. A contribution from each commission I earn is made to the Children’s Miracle Network in the name of the seller and/or buyer I represent after each closing. The RE/MAX organization also sponsors the Susan G Komen Race For The Cure and other charity events that we participate in.
Being a realtor is another opportunity for teaching, sharing and experiencing much gratification when the buyer says, “This is It!” and/or hearing the Seller say, “ We'll take the offer!”. At this point I know we have been an integral part in assisting our clients in making an informed decision for an investment that will become part of their legacy.
